About the Event

Rise and shine. It's procurement time.

Are you interested in a Treasure Hunt? Do you think of yourself as a strategist? Can you spend your resources wisely to get the desired output? Do you think getting the right things at the right time at the right place makes a considerable difference?

If your answer to any of the question is yes, then put on your thinking cap. We are FORSE, official operations committee at KJ SIMSR, introducing to you 'OpsQuest': an event for upcoming Melange 2020.

OpsQuest is designed in a unique way to implement concepts of procurement and supply chain in real-time on the streets of Mumbai with an objective to contribute to society. The participants are required to strategize their movement across the city of Mumbai with an aim to procure pre-decided items.

But, what would be the challenge here? These movements in Mumbai should result in the lowest possible distance and cost. Also, do not forget the articles procured needs to be delivered on time.

The participants will be provided with a map and a fixed budget for within the city movement. The route taken, the number of items procured, money spent will be some of the criteria for assessment.

Thinking about why should you be moving around the city of dreams? Who will benefit from the articles you procure?

It gives us immense pleasure mentioning that these articles will be donated to the students associated with Ankur ELI on the day of the event.
