About the Event

Retail Lab, KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai proudly presents you the annual flagship event Varigating Brands as a part of our college’s Annual Management Fest MELANGE 2019!! Varigating brands is a unique brand strategy competition where you get a chance to unleash your skills in launching a brand. It is a 2 Round event. 1st round is online quiz whereas 2nd round is a retail-case study competition. The details of the case would be released to the shortlisted teams after qualifying the first round. The shortlisted teams need to come to KJ SIMSR campus where the participants need to do a presentation in front of the esteemed judges.

Event Format :

Round 1: Online Quiz
  • Quiz window : 2nd Feb'19, 10:30 PM IST to 2nd Feb'19, 10:50 PM IST
  • Quiz duration: 00:20:00
  • Total number of questions: 25
  • You'll be able to browse through the questions.
  • Only Team Leader, person who registered the team, will be able to play the quiz.
  • You won't be able to modify your answers post submission.
  • A timed quiz consisting of 25 questions to be answered in 15 minutes
  • Multiple submissions not allowed

Round 2: On-Campus Case Study Competition
  • Shortlisted teams will have to come to campus for the finale where they will be judged based on the solution presented by the team to the esteemed panellist followed by Q & A round.

Rules :

  • Participation open to all students across all campuses.
  • Each team has to be of maximum 2 members.
  • Teams cannot consist of participants from different institutions.
  • One person cannot be a part of multiple teams.
  • Teams need to register at dare2compete platform.
